For shading here, I'd suggest leaving the main character of the shot mostly un-toned, deeply shade the BG, especially the wall behind, with the ground getting lighter as it nears the main char., and a shaded, but brighter than it's surroundings, profile for whoever's out on the ground. Might work, might not. It depends on what you want to emphasize. Shock/Fear/Surprise/OMG, I would guess.
Oh, I had to really think and take a second look to realize that the bg word was "ba-dump." Maybe you can do something so that it's more obvious?
